City of Colorado City Council meet Thursday evening to approve a State of Emergency Declaration Order. Nothing changed in the local situation, and this should not be cause for any additional concern for citizens.
However, effective immediately, City buildings including City Hall, the Public Works Barn, Water Distribution Barn, Animal Shelter, Civic Center, Museum and Fire Station are closed to all outside visitors.
In order to makes utility bill payment, visit with multiple court or obtain permits, please see the following.
Utility Department: The Utility Department will accept payments for your water bill through the payment drop box or through the mail. The address is P.0. Box 912, Colorado City, Texas 79512. Credit Card payments may be done over the phone during the hours of operations Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to Noon and 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. Payments can be made by phone at 325-728-5331, Extension 21. If you have new services, this may be handled by calling the Utility Department at 325-728-5331, Extension 21.
Municipal Court: All court scheduled hearings are suspended and will be rescheduled for a later date. All payment plans, extensions, deferrals, and driving safety course requirement timelines are extended. Your required 20 days appearance date has been extended as well. Warrants will not be issued, and the court will do all we can to accommodate the needs of court clients. Payment can be made through the payment drop box or through the mail. The address is P.0. Box 912, Colorado City, Texas 79512.
Building Inspections and Permits will be done over the phone, fax or email. The Building Department can be located at 325-728-5331, Extension 29.
All other City services will be done by appointment only 325-728-5331, Extension 24.
