City Holds Annual Christmas Party

The City of Colorado City held its annual Christmas Party on Friday, Dec. 13th.  Current and former employees, Council Members, along with family enjoyed steaks, donated and cooked by City National Bank, along with bake potatoes, green beans and rolls provided by Gas & Grub.

The night continued with the introduction of retired City employees.  Belinda Blassingame, District Court Clerk, was the only former employee in attendance.

Santa Claus with his Elf attended the party to pass out favors to all the little boys and girls in attendance.   

5-year Service Certificates were presented to employees.  Those who received certificates were Jerry Boyd (Water Superintendent), Rayanna McGaha (Economic Development Director), Rustine Lendermon (Animal Control Officer), and Joe Beltran (Water Dept.), and Eppy Mendoza (Public Works) who was not in attendance.

Donna Madrid (City Secretary) received her 15-year pin and Rufino Martinez (Water Dept.) received his 30-year pin.

Longevity checks were presented to employees who have worked for the City longer than 1 year and gift cards were give to Council members, part-time employees, and full-time employees with less than 1-year service time. 

The evening concluded with door prizes, including a Christmas Ham sponsored by NetData, a $100 Amazon Gift Card sponsored by City Attorney Eileen Hayman, and a Meat Smoker donated by Higginbotham’s.
