The Colorado City Police Department has current openings for police officer. Applicant must be highly motivated and understand patrol functions with experience in other components of police work.  Applicant must have clear driving record and background history.  TCLEOSE certification required.  One year law enforcement experience preferred. 

Officers receive a variety of benefits through the City of Colorado City. Those interested in a career with our department can download the Application for Employment.   • High school graduate or GED (GED requires 12 semester hours of college credit) 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen 
  • Twenty-one years of age 
  • Must be of good moral character 
  • Must be in good physical condition 
  • Must have uncorrected vision of 20/20 or better in each eye correctable to 20/30 in each eye 
  • Must not have been convicted of a Class B criminal offense or greater or have a history of criminal or improper conduct 
  • Must  have a good driving record 
  • If prior military, must have an honorable discharge
  • Must pass a medical and psychological examination
