NOTICE OF A SPILL FROM A WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT
The City of Colorado City had a main sewer line break. The break occurred along the Colorado River, 400 feet east of the Colorado River Bridge on Concho St/ Hwy 163. Notice of leak and issues associated with waste water discharges are available for review at the above link. Notice is also being broadcasted on KVMC/KAUM and though the Colorado Record. CITY APPROVES TAX RATE
The City of Colorado City Council has set the tax rate for 2018 at the effective tax rate of 0.635602 per $100 valuation. For additional information, please see the proposed property tax rate notice.
REGISTRATION OF WATER WELLS & IRRIGATION SYSTEMS WITHIN CITY LIMITS
Due to changes in the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality rules and regulations, the City of Colorado City is now requiring property owners with water well and/ or irrigation systems to be registered with the City.
Please fill out the appropriate form(s) and return to City Hall at 180 W. 3rd or by mail to PO Box 912.
If you have a water well within City limits and have City water services, you can not have the water from the well tied into the house. Customers found to have well water as a secondary supply are in violation of TCEQ Rules and Regulations and City Ordinance.
