Food and Restaurant Inspections

Summary of the Ordinance

All food vendors, such as restaurants, cafes, delis, and caterers, are required to be inspected by the Code Enforcement Officer twice a year.  

One inspection must take place between October 1st and December 31st in order to be eligible for permit renewal, which is due by December 31st.  

The second inspection will be a surprise inspection, with the time to be determined by the Code Enforcement Officer.

Fees for annual permits include an application fee of $25.00, the annual renewal fee of $25.00 and inspection fee of $30.00 per inspection.  Should be permit fee not be paid prior to January 1st, the permit renewal fee automatically doubles to $50.00.
